NIO Power's page says the service has networks for charging and for battery swap. It says the batteries are chargeable, swappable, and upgradable. A swap exchanges the pack. A plug charges the pack that is already in the car. NIO describes both on that page. [1]
A NIO news post dated 6 February 2026 says a Power Swap takes an average of three minutes. The same post says the stations manage and monitor the batteries. That time is NIO's average for NIO swaps. It is not a time for every swap system. [2]
NIO's power page says a fully automatic swap exchanges the pack for a fully charged battery in about three minutes, and that each swap includes a health check of the battery and the electric drive system. The cited NIO pages describe that swap. They do not describe a purchase in which the battery is separate from the car. A catalog match means the public text uses the swap words. [1] [2]
