The Yangwang U8 is BYD's halo luxury product, competing with Mercedes G-Class and Land Rover Defender. Its features include a 1,100hp quad-motor powertrain, tank-turn capability, and submersion float mode. The 102.5% effective tariff isn't the primary barrier — there is simply no US distribution infrastructure for Chinese luxury vehicles.
